Help Rochester Become a Cool Community – seeking
volunteers The Low Carbon Diet Challenge was a huge success in gaining
support from residents, municipalities, community leaders, small
business owners, and nonprofit organizations towards making the greater
Rochester area a leader in saving money, energy, and the planet.
At the Grand Awards Celebration on Nov. 18th, Mayor Duffy and Town
officials from all over Monroe County shared the numerous efforts being
taken to reduce the carbon footprint of our local communities.
The efforts underway are impressive, and we celebrated them heartily.
Congrats to all who attended and participated in the Challenge! Now
it's time to build on what was started, and make the Rochester area a
true “Cool Community.”
The goal is for over 50% of area
residents to significantly decrease their carbon footprint. We are in
the planning stages of multiple events and efforts to reach the majority
of residents in our area, and we need you!!
